The Wirral Egg Run Registered Charity  are pleased to anounce that applications for funding are open from now until the 7th of April 2010 when all applicants will be considered by the trustee’s. Again Indivudal grants will be limited to a maximum of £5000.00 per grant.

The Wirral Egg Run Registered Charity are sorry for the delay in publishing a final figure for the 2009 event, this had been mainly due to changes of personnel within the team, and the wish to publish accurate and precise information as we have a duty of care to the public being a registered charity.

We appreciate that in some corners not publishing a final figure is causing some friction so have decided to open up the 1st round of grant application now.

All those who have contacted us will be receiving a grant application pack in the next few days.

This round of grant applications will be limited to a ‘pot’ of £ 20,000.00 there will be a second round once the accountant has verified all the figures and completed the accounts later in the year.

Just to bring you all up to speed with what is going on we have finaly got the sign off for this years wirral egg run, Unlike last year when the event didnt get signed off until the day it happend. We have got everything signined off with the Council, Police and Hospital before the event this year.

We have our street collection license to make collections via our Yellow official wirral egg run buckets at new brighton and along the 20 mile route through the wirral.

The Egg Run team looks forward to seeing you all on the day there will be onsite catering facilitys alive from 8:30 up until the start time  of the run that starts at 11:00 and also catering at claterbridge at the end of the event.

Dont forget the clocks change and move forward that day so if you havent changed your clocks you need to be there before 10:00

The weather is looking a little cool at the earlier in the morning on the day and we expect it to be sunny later in the day.

The Official Wirral Egg Run 2009 Badges are  now availible from all of our merchandising outlets on the Wirral.

Unfortunatly they where delayed in customs but they are now here!

We this week sat down with the police, council, clatterbridge hospital and Nuttals,   it was an extreamly positive meeting bringing  us closer to running the Wirral Egg Run Event for 2009.

As we have stated previously we review the event with the team regularly and the whole team is happy that there are no cracks in the plan and everything is running smoothly.

As we get closer to the event we will give more reports too our progress

The 2009 Wirral Egg Run Team

Last week the commitee organised it first sessions of Marshall Training there was a good turn out of bikers at our two sessions.

The Wirral Egg Run team and Police where extreamly happy with the turn out of bikers on the day at both sessions and are looking forward to bringing the rest of the team in for the final sessions prior to the event.

Thanks again for the support from the team at the hyperbaric unit for letting us use there facilities on the day.

Bringing you up to speed with details of the event the wirral egg run charity remind all riders that the event advertised on the website wirraleggrun.org is not the official event the only date for the official wirral egg run registered charity event is the 29th  March 2009.

If you do happen to come along on that day you will find matrix signs on route  towards the start of the event stating that the wirral egg run is running on 29th March 2009 not the 22nd as advertised on the wirraleggrun.org website.

We urge you to come along to the official Wirral Egg Run Event that will take place on the 29th March 2009 where the Registered Charity, Police, Council have organised the event ensuring the safety of all the riders.
