Rules

Riders participating in the Wirral Egg Run should be advised of the following when taking part in the run:

  • The vehicle they are using needs to be road legal
  • The wearing of a helmet on the run is mandatory
  • A valid licence to ride their vehicle is required
  • Riders should ride in accordance with the Road Traffic Act
  • Vehicles should have enough fuel before the run commences to complete the run
  • Riders should not stop at the side of the road anywhere on the run
  • Riders should not slow down to collect eggs from bystanders (these will be collected by street collectors)
  • Riders are requested not to perform high fives
  • Riders are requested not to throw sweets into the crowds
  • Riders are requested to adhere to normal lane discipline whilst on the run
  • Riders are requested to follow instructions given by the Police and Marshals
  • Riders are requested to consider and respect the safety of both themselves and of others whilst on the run
  • Riders should also be aware that the police automatic number plate recognition may be in operation
  • Council & Police CCTV will also be in use to monitor the procession

Clatterbridge have has to set a limit on the number of bikes entering onto the site and the gates may close before all the bikes have landed. If the entrance is closed please disperse normally and continue on your journey, your donations can still be made at the tap, GEG, Olde red Lion, Blue Anchor and other drop of point in Wirral
