EGG RUN – 2008 - 09
We would like to say a big thank you to all those who took part
on the Wirral Egg Run on 16th March 2008 the day was a Great success and
without all involved could not happen. So, once again a BIG Thank You to the Riders, the Stewards, the Marshals,
the Police, Wirral Council, Raynet, the General
Public for the continued support and Generosity. To those that we have
missed. Thank You

We are happy to be able to tell you that the 2008 Egg Run was a resounding success. The event remains the same, the organisation has been superb, although late and sleepless nights for some.
We would like to thank Mr. Ian Kendrick (Out Going Chairperson) for all the time and effort he put in
with the Committee since last September. His ability to build on the foundations
laid by Simon Owen in 2007 – made all the hard effort worthwhile.
It was great to see Lisa and Harriett on the run this year they
looked brilliant in their multi-coloured rabbit
suits well done NWB. Simon touched many of us with his inspiration to make
the Egg Run bigger and better and by so doing generate more for our Wirral
kids.
Following a small reshuffle the Wirral Egg Run Committee is dedicated to continue with the development of the Egg Run - to make the Run supportable by everyone – the Riders, the Police, the Council, the Emergency Services and of course the fantastic public who line the Run whatever the weather and make it all feel like a great big street party.
The Contacts Section on the site will show you who we are, what
element we are responsible for within the Egg Run Organisation and how to
contact us.
So, what’s going to be different…..
- A new team – some new faces and some old hands.
- We will publish our accounts on this website so that everyone can see where every penny comes from and goes to.
- We shall be holding further Egg Run fundraising events to support the run itself.
- We will be communicating regularly as we go and letting you know how you can help with the cause.
- A new Forum will be constructed with
an Administrator, Moderators and the inevitable Rules.
What won’t be changing is the Run itself, or the spirit behind it. That is the core of what the whole thing is all about.
We are really pleased to say that the Police and Council are
being very supportive and trying hard to help us whilst encouraging us to
make the Run as safe as we can for everyone.
There is so much more going on and details will be posted either
here or on the Bulletin Board / Forum due course. Meanwhile we will endeavor
to respond to your questions and queries as quickly as we can.
Thanking you all for you continuing support. Everything we do for the Egg Run is
for the kids.
